Hello and welcome! For some of you this may be the first time you've spent time on this portion of our website and for others you know very well what this is! Don't be fooled, the title of this blog is not about a bad sequel - it is simply the return of something that I enjoy writing but unfortunately don't always keep updated. So I've made it a goal to ensure weekly updates to this blog...especially during our competition seasons. So without further delay let's talk about what happened last week and what is coming up in our future!
We had an incredible week last week of night rehearsals capped by a great day of camp on saturday....including a parade!
We are further along than we have been since my time here at East Noble as far as learning the competition show is concerned. We have virtually the entire show on the field as of Saturday afternoon. And while it was hot and muggy the kids persevered and did an incredible job! I am simply astonished at how hard our kids are willing to work to be incredible. It truly is a rare sight - and you should be proud of the efforts that they are putting forth!
With the show wrapping up we are getting excited about competing...so excited we've added a competition! Because of this we've changed our family picnic. here are the new dates....
Family Picnic - WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28TH 6:00-9:00 PM
Bluffton Invitational - SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 7TH
Family Picnic - was a HUGE success last year! I haven't seen so many people at a band event other than competitions! Please invite anyone you would like: friends, family, pets, anyone you would like - we just want to have a great night of fellowship and celebrate your child's hard work.
Here is the breakdown of food assignments:
EVERYONE BRINGS: their own service wear and chairs or blankets
8th and 9th graders: MAIN DISH (enough to feed 10-12 people....a 10 piece bucket of chicken doesn't feed 10!)
10th grade: SIDE DISH (enough to feed 10-12 people)
11th grade: DESSERT (enough to feed 10-12 people)
12th grade: NAME BRAND SODA OR BOTTLED WATER (24 pack preferred....12 pack minimum)
We will be in the stadium this year! I'll provide the music, a GIGANTIC obstacle course, and a SNOW CONE MACHINE!
Have a great week everyone - if you need to contact me the best way is at email@example.com and be sure to check the website daily for updates!
