Well it begins! Life after marching band will officially start monday with the beginning of pep band! but before I move on to talk about what is in store here are a few post-season thoughts
What can you say when you, without a doubt, have worked harder at something than ever before and get that awesome feeling of accomplishment through your performances? Not much to be honest. I know the season did not finish as many had hoped but as we say many times: One moment does not define who you are. And it certainly does not define our group! This is a talented and very persevering group of young adults we have on our hands and the future is bright!
Pretty cool....I hope the seniors and their parents enjoyed that moment. I know it is a "new tradition" but almost immediately I think we all felt the emotional and symbolic power those lanterns floating away from us had when the seniors "let go". Seniors: We'll do our best to do you proud and push our bands to even higher heights! You were the FOUNDATION in which I installed the philosophy by which we now operate. If it weren't for you buying into that philosophy we would never have gotten everyone on board and risen to success so quickly!
