Well our week of chaos is over and the week ahead is relatively calm! We had an incredible day at ISSMA Solo and Ensemble....Below are the results:
Elementary Schools: 26 Golds / 22 Silvers Middle School: 28 Golds / 4 Silvers High School 13 Golds / 5 silvers As you can see we had no bronze or participation awards - which is a GOOD THING! To be honest with you, when I was hearing of all the golds were receiving it was tough not to have a grin on my face all day at Carroll HS. East Noble Schools had an incredible showing on Saturday and certainly every member of the school corporation should be proud of not only the way the students performed but the decorum in which they carried themselves throughout the day. As someone who visits roughly 30 different high schools a year and seeing upwards of 50-60 different high school groups I see first hand how a reputation can be tarnished of a school based on one student's lack of maturity in the way they speak, dress, and act throughout the day. And I am proud to say we leave a reputation of success and leadership through the way we prepare, execute, and carry ourselves while on site. It's tough for high school students to understand this importance but I feel we are miles ahead of many out there! BRAVO STUDENTS! NOW ON TO THIS WEEK Pretty calm...Jazz Band Performs at about 7:15 on Friday at Dekalb MS if you'd like to see us perform! It is not a competition but rather a showcase of many groups - it is a relaxed and fun time....come on out!
