Greetings! I know I am BEYOND overdue for a blog update to all you faithful readers out there. You'll be happy to know my New Year's Resolution will be to have a weekly update of our band program's happenings starting in January. Although some may be shorter and less...meaningful - it will still be a great tool of communication for us to use.
What I want to cover in this blog is our band's procedures for communicating information during inclement weather. Winter Guard/Winter Percussion/Jazz Band - All follow the same procedure as listed below: - Phone tree activated. Expect a phone call from a designated student. you are then responsible for continuing the chain. If you get a voicemail, leave a message, and THEN continue down your "branch" of the tree until you receive an answer for that person to continue. Confused? See a director. Twitter - Each pertinent twitter account will tweet of the delay/cancellation. i.e. for a winter guard cancellation East Noble Bands and East Noble Color guard will both tweet of the delay. Eastnoblebands.com - All delays or cancellations will be posted to eastnoblebands.com immediately after the phone tree has been activated. Pep Band procedures are different: - Pep band is only cancelled if THE GAME ITSELF IS CANCELLED. Look on Indianas News Center for these updates. Should Mr. Munoz receive word from the Athletic Director the game is cancelled the website and twitter account will be updated. However, this information may be delayed, check news sources as well. I hope this clears up any confusion before confusion can occur!! Have a safe and happy holiday break and we'll see you in 2013! - Mr. Munoz
